The first step is to log into the student portal and enter Blackboard. Once you are in Blackboard, you will want to click on the “Tools” option on the left-hand navigation pane on your screen.
Once on the Tools page, you’ll want to click on the tile labeled “TutorMe-Instant Online Tutoring.”
You will be brought to the TutorMe landing page. On this screen, you’ll want to scroll down and select the green button that says “Get Started”
Through a single sign on, you will be automatically logged into your TutorMe account (you will see your name in the top right). Here, you will see two more green buttons to choose from. You will want to select the one that reads “Connect with a Live Tutor.”
This will open a search bar where you can type in the subject you are requesting help. (Note: Enter in the course content or course name to enhance your search. Do NOT enter a course code. e.g. Enter “English” instead of “ENG110.”)
You will then see a screen where you can enter in the specific questions/assignments you need help with.
- Once ready, hit the green submit button at the bottom of the page, and you’ll be connected to a tutor. This service is available 24/7 and no appointment is necessary.
